Pierre combines a 28-year career in the public service with extensive training, expertise and innovation in Social Psychology, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Integral Coaching, Emotional Intelligence (EQ) leadership, and public speaking. He is the originator of The Leadership Group’s Brain Power Coaching™ method and is committed to developing a new breed of leaders who excel in today’s complex workplace.
Before entering private practice as an executive coach, Pierre was a research analyst, project manager and Chief of Management Development at Canada’s national statistical agency. There, he honed his own management skills and later became involved in management training as a faculty member of the Canada School of Public Service (CSPS).
As an Executive Coaching Associate to The Leadership Group, Pierre coaches managers and executives, applying the latest brain-science research to leadership development for individuals as well as leadership teams. He uses a range of innovative coaching approaches with the specific aim of literally creating new, more effective neuronal pathways in the brains of clients.
Pierre earned his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from Carleton University and he is a Certified Practitioner of NLP and a Certified Integral Coach. He also completed the CTM Certificate in Leadership and Public Speaking at Toastmasters. He has practiced mindfulness meditation since the age of 17 and has since developed ways of integrating mindfulness into management development.
Pierre lives in Ottawa with his wife, Carol and an “awesome” teenaged son, Eric. He enjoys golf, tennis and reading everything he can get his hands on related to leadership and the brain.
