“Generation Y” Managers & Leaders (born between 1970 and 1990)
Purpose & Outcomes
This program teaches Gen Y leaders how to effectively manage in a multi-generational workplace dynamic. Participants learn how Neuro-Leadership Coaching™ (NLC) techniques can be applied to manage, motivate and even discipline staff who are older than they are, or who may be low performers. Participants also learn how to communicate in a way that ensures everyone is listening.
Program Composition
Over the course of five months, background reading, monthly group workshops and one-on-one leadership coaching will enable participants to learn, practice, discuss and apply NLC techniques to their real-world leadership environments.
Topics covered include:
- Understanding the generations
- Communicating in a language that each generation understands
- Brain-based techniques for developing rapport and empathy
- What to listen for in inter-generational communications
- How to talk so your employees will listen
Program Duration
Five months, including one ½-day workshop per month and one 1-hour coaching session per month, in addition to readings
